Combo Pool is a minimalist puzzle game built around a simple but tricky mechanic. You flick marbles of different colors across a screen, aiming to collide matching pairs. When two same-colored marbles touch they fuse into a higher tier color freeing space. A shrinking lifebar tracks how many marbles you have active. Let it hit zero and you trigger sudden death mode where only one marble can rescue you by clearing enough pieces to survive. The game won the p8jam2 competition in 2016 and it shows in its sharp pacing. Its charm comes from the tension between planning shots and reacting to chaos. Players praise the way it scales difficulty smoothly despite its tiny visual scale. Available on multiple platforms including Android and web browsers it’s a compact challenge that fits anywhere.
