"This strategy battle game has a lot of potential for co-op, but single player has you spinning a few two many plates (and maps, and vehicles) for it to be really enjoyable."

Commando 2 is a side-scrolling action game where you play a Allied soldier fighting through explosive missions in the Far East. The controls are simple but responsive, blending fast-paced shooting with platforming challenges as you navigate war-torn levels. Each mission tasks you with defeating waves of enemies, destroying key targets, and escaping under fire. The game leans into its retro roots with pixelated graphics and over-the-top destruction that feels more like a cartoon than a realistic war simulation. Checkpoints keep the difficulty manageable, though later levels ramp up the chaos with tougher bosses and tighter platforming sections. This sequel builds on the formula that made the first game a browser staple, adding new weapons and larger-scale battles. While it lacks multiplayer, the 15 standalone missions offer solid replay value for fans of the genre. With over 2 million plays logged on Miniclip in its first year, it’s clear the game’s mix of fast action and nostalgic charm still holds up. Those who enjoyed the original’s straightforward thrills will find plenty to like here, especially the upgraded artillery and bigger set pieces.
