"Despite the nostalgia rose tinted glasses I played while playing all the games in this collection, part of my brain was constantly reminding me of how old these games are and how far gaming has come. Obviously, we wouldn’t have the platforming masterpieces of today, without the originals such as these and the ingenious developers and programmers who performed almost miracle work with the limited abilities of 1980s hardware and software. £6.99 is the asking price for a good amount of content and an amazing, but very outdated, collection of classic games. Highly recommended if you grew up with titles such as these and retro systems, however your kids might not understand the attraction. Now if you excuse me, I’m off to die another hundred times on the first screen of Wanted: Monty Mole. For fun, no less!"

Connect the Molecules is a puzzle game where you arrange molecules on a grid to form specific chemicals. You swipe to slide molecules across the screen, but they keep moving until they hit a wall or another molecule. Each level has a unique layout with fixed and breakable walls, and molecule types like hydrogen and oxygen that combine into compounds like water. Some elements add twists, like unstable molecules that explode when connected, breaking walls or resetting progress. The challenge lies in planning paths and predicting how reactions will reshape the board. The game’s clever use of chemistry-themed mechanics stands out. Players manipulate physics and cause chain reactions to solve puzzles, balancing risk and strategy. Though released in 2014, its core loops hold up, simple controls meet escalating complexity as new molecule types unlock. The lack of time pressure lets you focus on trial and error, making it satisfying for fans of methodical problem solving.
