Contract Rush DX is a fast paced 2D shooter where you control characters with distinct abilities. Navigate colorful levels while shooting enemies and picking up power ups. Each character has their own play style and the game encourages experimenting with different builds. Boss fights require memorizing patterns and timing attacks between waves of smaller enemies. The levels loop between action and brief platforming sections that break up the combat. The game's hand drawn animation stands out with smooth character movements and expressive boss designs. While short at around four hours of content, the difficulty spikes make later sections feel longer than they are. With a small team making everything from code to art, the polish shows in tight controls and responsive shooting. Coming in July 30 2025 as a PC exclusive, it's a compact experience that focuses on pure action without extra modes or menus.
