Core Fault casts you as a remote mining droid on a planet rich with valuable Cores. Your mission is to extract as many as possible before the native creatures turn hostile. Movement is handled via the Playdate's crank, letting you navigate narrow tunnels and dodge enemies. Each Core you collect adds to your score but also draws more aggressive threats. The deeper you dig, the tighter the corridors and the faster the dangers close in. The real hook is how the crank becomes central to both precision and survival. Turning it manually creates a physical connection to the droid's fragile journey. While short on combat variety, the rising tension of limited escape routes keeps things tense.
