Cosmic Raiders is a side-scrolling shooter where you pilot a ship through waves of enemies and bombs hurtling toward a planet. Your ship moves freely left or right while a radar tracks threats onscreen. Each level packs four bombs guarded by fighters you must destroy to stop them from hitting the surface. Clearing enemies earns points and reveals energy stars that give temporary invincibility. Progress to new stages by wiping out entire screens of moving targets and explosive hazards. The game stands out for its dual-player support and early use of real-time radar mechanics. Storyline

In deep space lies the alien sector Larkin. You are there on a mission to obtain energy sources that have been seized by the evil Larkins. Radar and a superior guidance system help you avoid attacking fighters and Kamikaze ships. The energy stars are near the Larkin command ship: you must retrieve them before you can leave the enemy sector.
