Cougar Force

About

You play as Special Agent Cougar in a racing and simulator hybrid set on the Atari ST. Your mission is to infiltrate a heavily guarded fortress and steal intel about a dangerous new drug. The gameplay mixes high speed chases with tactical driving elements, forcing you to balance your vehicle's performance against the need to stay hidden or breach security checkpoints. You navigate tight tracks while managing resources that determine how far you can get before being caught or failing the objective. The Atari ST version runs smoothly and captures a distinct late eighties arcade feel without relying on modern polish. Community data suggests players enjoy the straight forward control scheme, though some note the difficulty spikes in later levels. Ratings hover around average, with fans praising the theme but critics pointing out repetitive track layouts. It remains a curious title that feels more like a tech demo for racing sim mechanics than a full blown adventure. The simplicity lets you focus on the driving mechanics rather than complex story beats or overwrought narratives.
