Creature Shock is a 1994 first-person shooter that mixes full motion video with arcade-style action. You play a crew member investigating a vanished spaceship near Saturn, battling aliens that guard the ship. Each creature has a weak spot to target, and combat happens on asteroid surfaces and labyrinthine tunnels. Two 3D sequences let you pilot the ship, adding variety to the gameplay. The game stands out for its FMV segments and early use of 3D environments. Developed by Interactive Studios and released in December 1994, it ran on DOS, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn. While the graphics by today’s standards are basic, the blend of action and exploration remains a niche pick for retro shooter fans.

Storyline

In 2123, the UNS Amazon is sent as part of an exploration fleet to various planets to determine new viable locations for settlement as the Earth is destroyed by human activity. En route to Saturn, the Amazon is ensnared by a massive alien being resembling a large asteroid. The protagonist, Commander Jason Barr, is sent to investigate the incident.
