"Crossing Souls is an interesting title. Absolutely in love with the pop culture of the 1980s, the title wears this love on its sleeve, and the charm of that is undeniable. Unfortunately, while the writing, art, music, and references are great, the gameplay peters out rather quickly. After a strong first couple of hours, full of interesting and layered puzzles, the last half of the title quickly devolves into no more than a collection of platforming and melee combat scenarios with little else to keep you going. The end result is game that's fun and entertaining despite its gameplay, not because of it."

Crossing Void - Global is a mobile RPG where you lead a roster of characters from the Dengeki Bunko franchise through turn-based battles and story-driven quests. Each encounter relies on tactical positioning and skill timing as you balance offense and defense against waves of enemies. The game pulls directly from the publisher’s extensive library of light novels and manga giving players familiar faces in unfamiliar scenarios. The appeal lies in the depth of strategy and the sheer variety of playable characters each with distinct abilities and backstories. While the core loop of battling and upgrading follows standard RPG patterns the execution feels polished and responsive. Released in late 2019 it maintains a dedicated player base on Android and iOS though new content updates have slowed in recent years.
