Crow Country is a first-person adventure game that blends shooting mechanics with environmental puzzles and narrative exploration. Set in a dilapidated 1990s theme park, you play as Mara Forest, a woman searching for the vanished owner, Edward Crow. The game tasks you with navigating decaying rides, deciphering cryptic notes, and fending off hostile AI-generated visitors. Combat is sparse but deliberate, with a focus on resource management and stealth. Exploration drives the story, with scattered audio logs and visual cues hinting at the park’s mysterious collapse. The setting is its strongest asset, abandoned attractions blend retro charm with eerie decay, creating a hauntingly nostalgic atmosphere. While the genre mix can feel uneven at times, the puzzles often cleverly tie to the park’s history. With a runtime of around 10, 15 hours, it leans more into mood and mystery than replayability. Players who enjoy methodical figuring out of stories over fast-paced action might find it memorable, though some sections fall into repetitive exploration loops.
The year is 1990. Edward Crow has disappeared. The owner of ‘Crow Country’ (a small theme park in the rural outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia), he has not been seen since he unexpectedly shut down his park two years ago. The silence is broken when a mysterious young woman named Mara Forest ventures into the heart of the abandoned theme park in order to find him.
