Crux is a roguelike shooter where you battle through 13 increasingly chaotic arenas filled with enemies and bosses. As a cultist trained to serve the blood gods, you use a mix of movement mechanics and magic abilities to survive each wave. Every defeated boss grants new powers, letting you tweak your playstyle for the next challenge. Progress is reset each run but your unlocks carry over, pushing you higher on the leaderboard. The game’s tight movement and variety of boss encounters stand out. Each arena has distinct layouts and enemy patterns, keeping runs fresh. Since its March 2023 PC release, players note the satisfying progression and difficulty curve. The cultist’s grim quest for dominance offers a lean but addictive loop for fans of skill-based shooters.

Storyline

The gods of blood demand a new champion, and it's your turn to take the trials. In Crux you are a cultist of the blood gods, trained since childhood to take the trials to become the blood gods' champion. Your time has come to prove yourself worthy of the title and enter the arenas and attempt to defeat their hordes and guardians. With every boss defeated you grow more powerful from abilities granted to you. But will it be enough to become the Crux champion?
