About

Crypt Stalker is a 2D platformer with a side of demon-slaying and retro charm. You play Gladys, a crypt-hopping stalker armed with a whip, navigating shifting environments like desert temples and floating ruins. Combat mixes quick-time button presses with timed dodges, all set to a synth-heavy soundtrack that evokes 90s arcade vibes. The levels encourage precise platforming and exploration, with secrets hidden behind crumbling stone and cryptic glyphs. The game leans into its B-movie aesthetic with over-the-top monster designs and a story that’s equal parts camp and chaos. With a 78% average on indie review sites, it’s clear Crypt Stalker isn’t subtle, but that’s the point. The retro controller layout and 16-bit visuals harken back to a time when gameplay mattered more than graphics. If you like your action games with a dash of absurdity and a side of pixelated demons, this one’s got you covered.
