Cubic Ninja is a puzzle platformer where you control a blocky ninja using only the tilt of your Nintendo 3DS. As CC, you navigate through levels by angling your device to move, dodge obstacles, and outsmart robot enemies. The goal is to rescue the kidnapped princess and fellow ninjas from a series of traps involving fire, water, and shifting gravity. Each level requires precise tilting to avoid hazards and defeat foes, with the challenge ramping up as you progress through over 100 stages. The game’s standout feature is its control scheme, which replaces traditional button inputs with physical device movement. This creates a direct and intuitive gameplay experience, though it may take some getting used to. With over 100 levels and increasing complexity, the challenge remains consistent. While the 3DS’s auto-save and portability help with longer play sessions, the difficulty curve can be steep. Dated visuals and a lack of multiplayer don’t hurt the core gameplay but might not appeal to everyone.
