CyberSpeed is a high octane arcade racer that swaps traditional roads for a sleek cable bound track. You zoom along guided pathways while using weapons and shields to outmaneuver opponents. The single player mode focuses on quick reflexes and aggressive tactics with each lap mixing speed and combat. The 1995 release has a distinctly retro feel but retains fast paced action that still holds up. What sets CyberSpeed apart is its tight controls and the creative use of the cable system which adds a unique layer to racing mechanics. While not as polished as later titles in the genre it’s a solid example of early 90s arcade racing. The PlayStation and PC versions capture the chaotic energy of mid 90s track design with neon aesthetics and straightforward gameplay. Short learning curve but sharp competition makes it a nostalgic pick for old school fans.
