Saburo Jinguji travels to New York after his grandfather’s murder, sifting through clues and cryptic messages left behind. The game leans into point-and-click investigation, letting you rotate camera angles to inspect scenes, question witnesses, and piece together a narrative driven by familial mystery. Each choice tugs at a story tangled in riddles and unresolved history, with Saburo’s quest for answers blurring lines between personal loss and a larger conspiracy. A 360-degree view system adds depth to exploration, letting you scrutinize environments for hidden details often missed in linear adventures. While the story’s twists may split opinions, some players praise its layered script, others find pacing uneven, it carves a niche for fans of cerebral mysteries. Arc System Works trades its usual fighting-game expertise for a moody, dialogue-heavy experience that leans into the slow-burn tension of a classic whodunit.
That was one month ago today. Someone has murdered Saburo's grandfather, Kyosuke, while he was living in New York. Saburo sets off to New York to sort through the belongings and memories his grandfather left behind. The nostalgia of the cityscape and reunions with old friends is fleeting, however. He soon discovers that his grandfather's last word was, 'Daedalus.' What does it mean? Why was my grandfather killed? "Remember, Saburo: tend the orchard of your mind." Kyosuke's words and teachings on the art of thinking are just distant memories. And yet, young Jinguji Saburo who is alone in the world, takes up the gauntlet for himself and for his late grandfather!
