Quicksilva’s Damper/Glooper is a dual-arcade package for Sinclair ZX81 players who want two bite-sized challenges in one. In the first game, you navigate a grid by solidifying dotted paths while dodging enemies that slither across the screen. Running into one costs a life, but careful planning lets you outmaneuver them. The second game swaps the grid for a maze filled with wandering foes. Collect dots to clear the board, but avoid the creatures patrolling it. Power-ups let you flip the script briefly, turning the tables on your pursuers. Both games lean into simple, twitchy mechanics that test reflexes and route-finding. Released in late 1983, the set feels like a precursor to later maze-based hits, offering stripped-down fun without polish. While not remembered for complexity, it holds charm for retro fans. The dual format gives more value for the coin, literally, on a budget home computer.
