Dangerous Streets is a side-scrolling brawler that pits players against waves of enemies in fast-paced combat. Released in 1993 for DOS and Amiga systems, it lets you choose from eight fighters including a model, a wrestler, and a hulking custodian with a mop. Gameplay focuses on timed button mashing and directional inputs to land punches and kicks. Single matches can be played solo against the AI or head-to-head with a friend. A tournament mode adds replayability by stringing together multiple bouts. The game’s standout is its roster of oddly charming characters each with distinct moves but no special techniques beyond basic combos. While visuals rely on 16-bit sprites and simple backdrops, the tight controls and competitive two-player mode keep it engaging. Supported on keyboard or joystick, it captures the 90s arcade brawler vibe without the complexity of newer titles.
