Dariusburst is a fast-paced horizontal shooter from Pyramid that shakes up the formula with nonlinear paths. You pilot a high-tech fighter through 11 zones split into 5-stage runs, battling schools of fish-shaped robots and Belser Army warships. The game’s signature twist lets you choose between multiple routes each time, altering enemy spreads and boss encounters. A powerful "Burst System" adds explosive firepower in key moments, while partner AI Ti2 aids in combat. Released for PlayStation Portable in late 2009, it retains the series’ retro-futuristic charm with vibrant, aquatic-inspired enemy designs. The game’s legacy extends beyond its original release. An arcade version called Another Chronicle hit arcades in 2010 with a 32:9 screen, followed by mobile ports and enhanced re-releases. Its branching paths and tight shooting mechanics earned praise from long-time fans, with some calling it one of the best entries in the decade-old series. Storyline

Dariusburst takes place a century after Darius II where the planet Darius is continually attacked by the Belser Army. The continuing battles show a possible end to the long wars on Darius, particularly with the development of the Burst System, a powerful new weapon equipped with the latest Silver Hawk fighters. Using this new weapon system are pilots Riga Pratica, test pilot of the Silver Hawk Burst series, and Ti2 a computer AI assuming the body of a young girl. Together, the pilots fight the Belser Army back against its fleets, factories and even its previously inhabited fortresses.
