About

Dark Fall tasks you with investigating a derelict train station and hotel after your brother disappears under mysterious circumstances. As a point-and-click adventure you piece together clues from the past while navigating an environment thick with unease. The game thrives on subtle horror, creaking wood floors distant murmurs and an oppressive feeling of being stalked. Puzzles tie into the history of vanished guests and staff but the true challenge is keeping your nerves intact as the unseen entity closes in. The game’s 2002 release date belies its lasting impact. Its reliance on audiovisual storytelling, like sudden silence breaking into static or a shadow flickering just beyond vision, earned it a dedicated following. Players often cite the tension of moving through empty hallways knowing something could appear at any moment. At just $9.99 on Steam it’s a short but potent scare that still holds up for those who like their horror slow-burning and atmospheric.

The Story - present: You come back from work hoping to get a good night's sleep but then you notice light blinking on your answering machine. It was your brother – an architect redeveloping an old train station and hotel. He called to ask for your help. From now on your adventure has just begun and soon you will realize that although no one is there, you are not alone...
