You play as a Mariachi musician racing through deserts and towns in this 3D side-scroller. The first half of each stage is a fast-paced platformer where you dodge cacti, rocks, and other hazards while collecting coins. After clearing a level the action shifts to a rhythm-based performance section where you tap notes in time with the music to complete a Serenata. Each of the four playable Mariachis has a distinct instrument and corresponding soundtrack during these musical segments. Progress unlocks new characters, skins, and instrument upgrades using coins earned in gameplay. The game blends retro 8-bit aesthetics with traditional Mexican music and vibrant art styles. While it has a niche audience appeal the combination of running and rhythm mechanics offers a fresh twist on classic platformers. The cultural themes feel authentic without leaning on stereotypes making it a standout title for casual gamers who enjoy hybrid genres.

Storyline

Run through the desert and avoid all obstacles to finally reach an old pueblo where someone awaits for your Serenata! The player can choose between Tito (guitar), Pedro (violin), Juanito (trumpet) and Enrico (guitarron). These four mariachis feature different main tracks during the rhythm phase depending on their instruments. As the player runs through stages or plays Serenatas, he or she gains coins. These coins are used to hire Mariachis (your starting Mariachi is Tito), buy skins and get new instruments for each Mariachi. You get to play Dashing Mariachis in your own style!
