"Date Everything! is an exemplary example of what happens when game developers remember they have free will and can do literally anything they want. A classic dating sim style game but with a twist, Sassy Chap Games decided it would be really cool to basically hire the entirety of the professional voice acting industry and assign them all to sexy human versions of furniture, and somehow it worked spectacularly. Date Everything! is an experience dripping with charm, inclusivity and pride, and is the exact right amount of self-aware. Being able to make a hundred characters equally as unique and captivating as they are is such an impressive feat. This is a dating sim that breaks free from the mould, and even those who aren't fond of the genre will find something to love within this world."

About Date Everything!

Date Everything! drops from Sassy Chap Games in June 2025 under the Team17 banner. This indie simulator lands on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch as a single-player visual novel. You stay inside your apartment while dating one hundred fully voice-acted characters ranging from your smoke alarm to overwhelming existential dread. The premise sounds ridiculous but the execution is surprisingly grounded. Critics like Digitally Downloaded gave it a perfect score while Game Rant praised its heart and furniture puns. It feels like a love letter to awkward moments rather than a standard dating game with polished graphics or high stakes.

Gameplay

You spend your time hovering over different household objects and people in your living space. The interface lets you pick dialogue options that steer conversations toward romance, comedy, or pure confusion. Each character has distinct voice lines that react to your specific choices during the interaction. There are no combat sequences or complex resource management systems to worry about. Sessions typically involve clicking through text boxes until you unlock a new relationship tier or complete a specific objective. The game tracks forty-two achievements with an average unlock rate of only 18%. You might spend hours just trying to trigger that rare Collection Complete trophy which nobody has unlocked yet.

What Players Think

PlayPile members and critics agree this title hits the mark. OpenCritic lists a Strong rating of 80 out of 100 with 85.51% of reviewers recommending it. IGDB shows an 80.6 score based on fourteen ratings. The community moods lean heavily toward happy and nostalgic vibes after finishing the main story. Players report an average playtime that stretches well past the initial hours due to the sheer volume of characters. Review snippets highlight how the game balances silliness with genuine emotion. The rarity of the Collection Complete achievement suggests a dedicated player base hunting for secrets while casuals enjoy the core dating loop without stress.

PlayPile's Take

Buy this if you want a short, funny dating sim that respects your time and intelligence. The current lowest price sits at 19.49 dollars on GamersGate making it an easy impulse buy. You get forty-two achievements to chase even if most require grinding specific dialogue trees. The average unlock rate of 18% shows this isn't a game you breeze through without thinking. Avoid it only if you need constant action or deep strategic depth. The furniture puns might not be for everyone but the voice acting carries the experience well enough to justify the cost.
