Dave.exe casts you as a nameless Dave thrust into a chaotic multiverse war. In this third-person stealth game you evade enemy Daves across jagged low-poly environments while grabbing soda from five machines per level. Each run resets when caught forcing you to adapt routes and timing. Combat is absent, survival hinges on speed hiding and exploiting environmental shortcuts. The world shifts between surreal settings linked by a bizarre narrative about Berrys Schmeckles and temporal chaos. The game’s charm lies in its absurdity blending tense chase sequences with dry humor and strange lore. Players navigate warped physics and shifting timelines while avoiding enemies with varying abilities. Though short on polish the quirky concept and recursive gameplay loop earned it a cult following. Its 2020 release sparked debates online with fans dissecting its meta-jokes about game development. Expect a rough but memorable experience for those who enjoy niche indie experiments.
Across the multiverse, every timeline has a Berry. These Berrys coordinated in Nowhere In Time, a midpoint of all timelines where they are safe from all harm. These Berrys developed their own society, with Schmeckles as a currency and vending machines across the timelines for their use only. But one day, a microfolk by the name of Edgy Dave arrived. He took control of the timelines and kidnapped the signature Berry with his army, with the plan to control all of the timelines. Gatekeeper Berry, stepping into leadership in Berry's absence, began plucking ordinary Daves from across the timelines to force them into assisting the Berrys with their war on Edgy Dave. After hundreds of Daves came and went, Gatekeeper Berry chose the player Dave, and became so fed up with waiting for replacements he decided he'd just revive this Dave whenever necessary. Looks like it's all up to you to get back the soda and best Edgy Dave's army!
