Daytona USA Deluxe is a high speed racing game that brings the arcade classic to PC with expanded multiplayer options and a fresh track. Players race on a variety of circuits aiming for the fastest lap times while navigating tight corners and long straights. The game includes all the modes from its Sega Saturn predecessors plus a new eight player network option for competitive racing. A redesigned version of the original arcade car the Hornet is available as an unlockable vehicle. The biggest upgrades here are the added multiplayer features and the Silver Ocean Causeway track which introduces a new layout with varied elevation and sharp turns. The ability to race against seven others online was a rare feature for its time making it stand out in 1997. While the track design hasn't aged perfectly by modern standards the fast paced action and tight controls still hold up for arcade racing fans.
