Dead by Daylight: The Story of Yamaoka Family is a 4-player versus one asymmetrical horror game. Players either take on the role of a Killer hunting down Survivors or work as a team to escape the Killing Ground. The Survivors must navigate shifting environments while avoiding capture while the Killer uses first-person perspective to track and eliminate them. This edition bundles the base game with two extra chapters 1100 Auric Cells for in-game purchases and a concept art book focused on the Yamaoka Family lore. Available on PlayStation 4 it supports co-op and competitive multiplayer. The Killer’s first-person view and Survivors’ third-person perspective create a tense cat-and-mouse dynamic. Each match feels different thanks to randomized layouts and environmental hazards. The Yamaoka Family bundle adds extra story content and resources to enhance the experience. With a strong online community and regular updates since its 2020 release it keeps the gameplay fresh for long-term players.

Storyline

Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.
