Dead Days is a visual novel that follows four people resurrected against their will. Trapped in a bizarre afterlife, they’re forced to hunt supernatural entities to sustain their fragile new bodies. A shadowy figure assigns them missions, balancing survival with the physical and emotional toll of their unnatural existence. Players navigate dialogue choices that shape relationships and outcomes, all while dealing with the characters’ internal conflicts and the eerie consequences of their revived state. The game stands out for its unflinching mix of body horror and psychological tension. Its narrative weaves themes of exploitation and identity, amplifying unease through sudden shifts in tone and graphic content. While polarizing, its bold approach to mature themes and nonlinear storytelling has earned a niche following. Some critics note pacing issues, but fans praise its originality and willingness to subvert visual novel tropes.
