Dead World: La Argentina Muerta is a first-person adventure set in a ruined Argentina, where players follow two characters navigating a shattered landscape. The story centers on Carlos and Miguel, hired to investigate a missing supply cart in Rosario. Players explore war-scarred environments, manage survival needs, and uncover the consequences of global conflicts that left the region uninhabitable. The game blends open-ended exploration with narrative-driven missions, offering a mix of scavenging, combat, and decision-making that shapes the journey. The game’s setting distinguishes itself by focusing on Argentina’s post-apocalyptic decay, a less common backdrop in the genre. Early builds suggest strong environmental storytelling, with ruined cities and hostile factions adding tension. While no player reviews exist yet, the game’s May 2024 release has drawn curiosity for its regional angle and dual-player co-op mode. The capital city of Buenos Aires is presented as a toxic wasteland, emphasizing the scale of destruction. It’s a gritty, grounded take on survival that leans into historical and geopolitical themes without leaning on typical zombie tropes.
As a result of several armed conflicts between different European countries, the world as we knew it was destroyed. Argentina, despite being a neutral country during the conflict, was bombed and today Buenos Aires, its capital, is uninhabitable. THE LOST WAGON Carlos and Miguel receive a job in which they will have to go to Rosario to see what happened to a cart that was supposed to reach the Entre Ríos settlement of San Diego.
