Storyline

You’re one of the millions of people playing ECHO, an immensely popular VR MMO that allows its users to experience its simulated universe with all five senses. Having an interest in technology and games since you were young, you’ve spent most of your time in this world to enjoy what it has to offer. But then news breaks out—deaths involving women found dead while wearing VR equipment. Cause of death? Heart attacks, according to medical examiners. Still, it’s only been a handful of cases, so you brush it off... Until one day, after logging into ECHO, you find yourself in a location different from where you last logged out. A once bustling and vibrant city is now a dark, rundown neighborhood, devoid of people. Well, except for one— A hulking man dragging an axe behind him, its blade smeared with blood. He lays eyes on you before flashing a bone-chilling smile... ‘How lovely… A new lamb to butcher.’
