"Death by Game Show has a lot of style, and is a pretty fun take on the tower defence formula. Learning and understanding its new rules, offers a lot of early challenge and enjoyment while teaching everything in a non-obtrusive manner. The problems come in that many things carry over from level to level with no way to get many of the necessary items back if they are lost, which makes some levels truly impossible to beat when the protagonist gets overran. However, as long as the buildings are not lost many levels are simply ploughed over. This extreme divergence is the most pressing issue of an overall decent title."

About

You wake up in a locked room with seven strangers after a party gone wrong. A figure in a mask explains you’re trapped in a lethal game where one of you is a killer. Every three days you vote to execute someone. Get it right and you all escape. Get it wrong and the deaths keep coming. Your choices hinge on reading personalities, following clues, and surviving the growing panic as alliances fracture. The story branches based on who you trust and how quickly you act. The tension comes from tight social deduction and shifting loyalties. With eight characters each hiding secrets the mask-wearing host feeds you in fragments, every conversation feels loaded. Players on forums praise the escalating paranoia and the way accusations spiral out of control. No save scumming here, your decisions in the voting phase carry real weight. The Android port runs smooth and the 80-minute runtime keeps it punchy. A quick burn of suspicion and survival that’s easy to start but harder to predict.
