You play as a crew member of the Wotan, a spacecraft returning from a century-long voyage only to find Earth transformed. After crash-landing in 3005 CE, you explore a jungle-overgrown shopping mall teeming with strange remnants of human life. The point-and-click interface lets you collect items, examine environments, and piece together fragmented logs explaining the planet’s decline. Puzzles are sparse but tied to the setting, like navigating security systems or decoding terminal data, to advance your escape plan. The game’s charm lies in its eerie, low-fi atmosphere and the absurdity of a mall as a post-apocalyptic safehouse. Unlike most adventure games of its era, it leans into speculative history rather than fantasy, with hints of ecological collapse or societal breakdown. Developed in HyperCard, its pixelated visuals and text-heavy dialogue feel quaint but functional, though modern players might find the pacing slow. Storyline

You were part of a crew on board the Wotan, one of the first interstellar spacecraft. Twelve of you were on a sub-lite journey to a nearby star and back again. Elasped ship time: 10 years. Elasped Earth time: 920 years. Since you left on April 1st, 2025, it is now 3005 CE. You've speculated on what things will be like back home. A millenium of progress or will some catacylsm have snuffed out human life? As the ship slides past Jupiter, decelerating against the slar wind, the Communications Op scans all frequencies for signs of activity. Silence. The ship reaches Earth and starts to establish an orbit when suddenyl it is raked by tracking beams..."To your pods!" yells the Cpatain, and you scramble to obey her. Beams of fierce energy leap up from the planet's surface and start tearing the Wotan to pieces. Crash-landed and alone on Earth you enter a nearby overgrown shopping mall and attempt to figure out what happened on Earth since you had left.
