Death Stair is a split-screen racing game for up to four players. Three teammates sprint up a never-ending staircase while the fourth uses traps, explosives, and environmental hazards to slow them down. Matches are a wild back-and-forth of timing, positioning, and quick reflexes. Simple controls let players focus on the chaos without getting bogged down by complexity. The asymmetrical design creates a tense dynamic where attackers and defenders constantly adapt. Each run feels unpredictable thanks to randomized tools and shifting obstacles. Though released in 2016, it remains a cult favorite for its fast-paced local multiplayer. The lack of online support keeps it focused on in-person fun.
