Deathwish Enforcers: Special Edition is a frenetic arcade brawler that channels the over-the-top chaos of 60s and 70s action flicks. You play as a member of San Francisco’s rogue police force in 1969, wading through neon-soaked streets and gang-infested zones to punch, shoot, and otherwise dismantle every thug, zombie, and drug dealer in sight. Combat is all about raw button-mashing, chain combos, rip out enemies’ teeth for temporary armor, and stomp through set pieces like derelict graveyards and biker bars. The game thrives on its cartoonish brutality and intentionally campy dialogue, which parodies classic action tropes with a wink. The co-op and multiplayer modes let you team up or turn on each other in the same chaotic scenarios. Developer Monster Bath Studios has a history of making loud, unapologetic action games, and this one leans hard into that vibe. While it’s not complex, the unfiltered fun and rubbery physics keep it addictive. Community feedback notes it’s a 90-minute joyride best played with friends, though solo runs are satisfying for fans of grindhouse-inspired chaos. The soundtrack and exaggerated character designs add to the retro grindhouse charm.
