Delta Man is a side scrolling platformer where two bumbling robots named Jim and Bob battle through procedurally generated levels. Players guide the duo across floating platforms while dodging enemy turrets and explosive hazards. The goal is to reach the end of each stage and ultimately rescue the captured princess. Simple controls focus on movement and basic attacks as the robots use their tools to clear obstacles and defeat mechanical foes. Developed by Andy Jervis and released on Commodore systems in late 1987, the game stands out for its chaotic level layouts and humorous robot protagonists. While the pixel art and sound effects are rudimentary by modern standards, fans of retro platforming appreciate the tight physics and random generation elements that keep each playthrough distinct. The single player campaign runs about five hours total across its 15 stages.
