"The Legend of Tianding is a great adventure that celebrates a charismatic character from Taiwanese folklore. Agile pace and a good variety of challenges are spread throughout the stages, and combat excites with its versatility — it's fun to launch enemies into the air and steal their weapons to create different combos. Other than that, the colorful universe captivates with great visuals inspired by Chinese manga, charismatic characters and a light interpretation of an important historical moment in the country. The game only suffers a bit with pacing issues and limited opponent diversity, but the fast-paced action helps to minimize these issues. Otherwise, I highly recommend The Legend of Tianding."

Digger T. Rock: The Legend of the Lost City casts you as a miner navigating underground tunnels in search of a mythical city buried deep beneath the surface. The game blends basic platforming with environmental puzzles, requiring you to leap over gaps, avoid hazards, and collect scattered items to advance. Progression hinges on memorizing layouts and timing jumps carefully, with each level offering tighter challenges as you descend further. Developed by Rare in its early days, this title marks the studio’s first game for a Nintendo console and its debut after rebranding. While not a commercial standout at launch, it’s now seen as a historical footnote, later added to the 2015 collection Rare Replay. For modern players, it offers a glimpse at Rare’s earliest work, with gameplay that feels more rudimentary compared to their later, more polished titles.
