About

Dirk Vander Wilt's Kasia is a top-down action RPG built around straightforward exploration and brawler-style combat. You start with a sword and shield in an unfamiliar world, fighting enemies and solving environmental puzzles to progress. The DOS-era graphics and tile-based movement keep things simple but functional, with a focus on quick reflexes and map navigation. Combat requires timing attacks between enemy strikes, while scattered items and secrets add light progression. This 1998 shareware title gained a cult following for its no-frills approach to old-school gameplay. While the story is minimal, the emphasis on reactive combat and open-ended exploration echoes early Zelda and Hydlide. Players appreciate the tight controls and the challenge of memorizing layouts without hand-holding. At just a few hours long, it’s a brisk but satisfying throwback for those craving retro RPG mechanics.

Explore the land, and find a way home!!
