Disney's Aladdin: Final Cut is a revised take on a 90s platform brawler that mixes running, jumping, and whacking foes. You play as Aladdin navigating movie-themed stages like Agrabah’s rooftops and Jafar’s palace. Each level throws guards, beasts, and traps your way as you collect items and fight through boss encounters. Combat feels tight for a Genesis game with a basic move set but retains charm through fluid animations and responsive controls. The stages are short but packed with hazards and secrets that demand precision. This 2021 release adds content and fixes bugs from the original 1994 version. New sections and polished mechanics make it a better experience than the source material though word of mouth remains split between retro fans. Available only in the Disney Classic Games Collection it’s a niche pick for players who enjoyed beat em ups on 16-bit systems. The challenge curve and dated visuals won’t wow newcomers but diehard platformers might find it a quick nostalgic hit.

Storyline

The player controls Aladdin, who must make his way through several levels based on locations from the movie: from the streets and rooftops of Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders and the Sultan's dungeon to the final confrontation in Grand Vizier Jafar's palace. The Sultan's guards and also animals of the desert want to hinder Aladdin in his way.
