You pilot a ship through five stages of horizontally scrolling chaos in this 1993 shooter. Each level ends with a boss fight and packs mini-bosses to test your reflexes. Four difficulty settings adjust the challenge though the simplest mode only lets you practice earlier stages, you can’t reach the final level or beat the game properly on easy. Upgrade your ship’s firepower by surviving waves of enemies but watch your health: damage builds up with a lingering smoke effect that hints at your ship’s fragility. The game lets you tweak music and sound effect volumes separately a rare option back then. Its boss designs lean into over-the-top spectacle with some encounters lasting multiple phases. While the Amiga version handles the action best the CD32 port adds CD-quality audio. A tight rhythm of gunning through stages and learning boss patterns keeps it replayable especially with friends gathering to compare high scores.
