Disruption puts you in a near-future city where robots have taken over most jobs and people are losing their grip on the world. You play a lone fighter moving through tall skyscrapers and flooded subway tunnels to fight back against machines that control everything. The game mixes third-person shooting with exploration as you navigate narrow alleys and dangerous rooftops while trying to save what is left of human independence. The setting feels gritty with its mix of high-tech towers and run-down districts where humans still try to live. Outnumbered Games built a single-player experience that focuses on survival rather than complex strategy or deep story choices. Community ratings suggest players enjoy the atmosphere and the way the levels change from clean corporate spaces to dirty underground labyrinths. It stays tight and focused without trying to be everything to everyone.
DISRUPTION is a third-person-shooter fight for the survival of humanity. Set in a near-futuristic world a socially distanced and disengaged human populace has become dangerously dependent on robotization. Established human social components such as privacy, intimacy, and community are all in states of disruption. Already outnumbered by robots, humanity unwittingly marches towards technological singularity, and the battle for the control of the system begins. Set in the city of Nutropolis, a sprawling mix of post-modern high-rises, robo-ghetto-infested tenements, empty post-industrial factories and abandoned, underground transportation tunnels. Players are challenged to navigate and survive threats and battles set in locations that range from narrow alleyways, treacherous rooftops, a partially flooded derelict subway system, cyber-vermin-infested subterranean labyrinths, and a seedy underbelly district of human-robot interaction.
