Divergent Shift is a 2D platformer that uses both DSi screens for puzzles and movement. You play as a girl gathering mirror fragments to fix a fractured world. Each level splits between the screens requiring you to switch views to solve environmental puzzles and move forward. The controls feel responsive and the levels mix action with brain-teasing challenges. The art style is colorful but simple fitting the DSi's capabilities. The dual-screen mechanic stands out as more than a gimmick. It forces you to think in layers adding depth to the platforming. While the puzzles aren't the hardest the creative use of hardware makes the experience memorable. Community feedback is mixed but some praise its clever design.
