Doomsday Hunters is a chaotic twin-stick shooter where you blast through a pixelated apocalypse armed with junkyard weapons and unstable magic. You scavenge parts to craft tools and guns that might explode or backfire as often as they work. Each run resets when you die, forcing you to experiment with new builds and tactics to tackle hordes of monsters, robots, and cosmic horrors. The controls are tight, the visuals are glossy with retro charm, and the game thrives on dumb fun. Dracula isn't even the main gimmick here. What sticks is the absurd collision of genres. You'll swap a laser cannon for a spellbook mid-fight, then retrofit both with a toaster to see what happens. The Dracula plot is window dressing for a game that loves throwing rules out the window. With a 75% completion rate among Steam players and an average 4.1/5 rating, most folks keep coming back despite the punishing difficulty. It’s the kind of game that turns “I’ll just try one more thing” into three hours gone. Available on PC and Switch since July 2023.

Storyline

The year is 420 a.c. (After Cataclysm). Whatever you knew as the Earth no longer exists. Physics laws as you knew no longer apply. Monsters, demons, aliens, crazy robots are everywhere. Only Hunters can survive this harsh environment. You are one of them. Right now there's a handful, but we're growing new ones in our secret chambers as we speak.
