Double Dragon 3 throws Billy and Jimmy Lee into ancient Egypt to stop a shadowy threat tied to the Rosetta Stones. This last entry in the original trilogy keeps the side-scrolling brawler formula but adds weapon shops where you can stock up on power-ups, health, and special attacks. Those upgrades turn the Lee brothers into hulking versions of themselves, packing more punch and covering more ground during fights. The action leans more aggressive than previous entries, with sharper animations and a darker tone. Character designs ditch the cartoonish look of earlier games for grittier, more grounded visuals. Multiplayer co-op returns, letting two players tear through waves of foes together.
