Dr. Chaos is a side-scrolling adventure game where you play Michael Chaos, exploring a spooky mansion to find his missing scientist brother. Armed with a knife at first, you collect bullets, grenades, and health items as you navigate 11 warp zones. A simple menu lets you interact with objects by choosing open, get, go, or hit. Each of the first 10 zones ends with a boss fight, where you battle a big monster to claim key gear like jump boots or shields. After gathering all parts of a laser weapon, you confront the final boss Canbarian in a showdown. The game balances exploration and combat, with enemies and hazards that force careful resource management. It launched in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Famicom Disk System, using both cartridge and floppy formats. Developer Marionette and publisher FCI positioned it as a family-friendly action title with light sci-fi horror elements.
