Each session you assemble a setup to power a memory restoration machine, choosing from a growing list of components that each serve a specific function. As a roguelike it resets each run but lets you keep upgrades that tweak how your gear combos perform. The challenge comes from balancing limited time against the complexity of your design as you try to piece together fragmented recollections before the clock runs out. What makes Dr. Cog memorable is its focus on mechanical synergy over raw stats. Every gear you add creates new possibilities and constraints that ripple through your system. While the December 2024 release date means no player data exists yet, Jungle Game Lab’s previous puzzle titles show they know how to turn abstract systems into satisfying challenges.
