You manage a mobile base recruit allies and tackle missions that blend dialogue choices with turn based combat. Co op play lets friends join for select missions though the focus remains on single player progression. This edition includes the two major expansion packs Iron Bull and Iron Flame which add new characters storylines and areas to explore. It runs on PS4 PC and Xbox One though European PC buyers need to look elsewhere. With a 90 on Metacritic and over 100 hours of playtime reported by many players it holds up as one of the deeper RPGs of the last decade. The tactical combat and branching narratives keep most sessions feeling meaningful.
