Dragon Ball Z: Sagas is a beat 'em up that follows the early arcs of the iconic anime. You control characters like Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo as they battle through waves of enemies in stages inspired by the Saiyan, Cell, and Frieza sagas. Collect Z-Coins to upgrade moves and abilities, then take on bosses like Raditz and Cell in stages that mix action and progression. The single-player campaign offers three difficulty settings to adjust the challenge. The game adds co-op and Pendulum modes for local multiplayer. Up to two players can team up in split-screen for a tougher version of the story or compete in Pendulum. Released in 2005 for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube, it’s a direct adaptation of the show’s most popular fights. The split-screen holds up for short sessions but loses steam over time.
