Dragon Rage is a third person shooter with adventure elements developed by 3DO for PlayStation 2 in 2001. You play as Cael Cyndar a dragon fighting to protect his kind from orcs ravaging their land. The game blends flight based combat with on foot exploration as you use elemental abilities like fire water wind and earth to defeat enemies and progress through levels. The elemental system allows creative solutions in battles letting players adapt to threats with different attacks. The single player campaign takes place in a fantasy world where dragons face near extinction creating a clear stakes driven narrative.
