You navigate a collapsing underground maze filled with enemies and environmental traps using a mix of rail sliding magnetic jumps and rapid gunfire. Each run requires quick reflexes as you chain together movement mechanics to avoid deadly hazards while fending off waves of attackers. The procedural layout means no two plays feel the same forcing you to adapt strategies on the fly. The Drain’s constantly shifting geometry and tight combat loops create a tense high-speed experience. Developer Nothing Interactive’s debut has earned a 78% positive rating on Steam with players praising its addictive difficulty curve. While the single-player focus limits replayability some find the challenge satisfying enough to keep coming back for another run. Released in August 2022 it still delivers a sharp burst of chaotic action for short sessions.
