Draugen is a first-person horror adventure that drops you into a secluded Norwegian fishing village in the 1920s. You sift through abandoned spaces as an American naturalist, piecing together fragmented memories and solving environmental puzzles to uncover why the community vanished. The gameplay leans heavily on atmosphere, creaking floorboards, flickering lamps, and the constant hum of wind against windows, to build unease as you connect personal stories to a larger, sinister truth. The game’s strength lies in its oppressive setting and slow-burn dread. The rugged fjords and claustrophobic village feel lived-in, with every detail hinting at hidden histories. A spectral figure in black and a haunting child’s song linger in the periphery, refusing to fully reveal themselves. While puzzle variety dips in the second act, the emotional weight of the narrative and the way isolation amplifies every creak and shadow keep tension high. Storyline

Draugen is set in the early 1920s and delves into the deepest, darkest secrets of a remote fishing community where every single soul has mysteriously vanished. As the player explores the tiny settlement, gathering clues and memories, and unearthing the truth behind a terrible tragedy, they will learn more about the history of the village and its inhabitants. And they will come to see that behind even the most innocent of facades lurks the potential for malice. But there is more to this place than meets the eye. From time to time, a woman in black can be spotted in the distance. Who is she, and what is her connection to this place? Who is the little girl singing broken lullabies as the sky begins to darken? And when night falls, and those last few, precious drops of kerosene in the lamp feed a fragile, flickering flame, what hides out there in the darkness and in the cold, black sea?
