About

Drowned Memories is a single-player adventure game set during the construction of Brazil's capital city in the 1950s. You play as Gil, a laborer turned community leader in a workers' village facing imminent flooding. Through dialogue and exploration, you navigate the tension between progress and displacement, making choices that shape how neighbors respond to the crisis. The game emphasizes character interactions and moral trade-offs, with a story driven by real historical events. What separates this game is its grounded take on a overlooked chapter of history. The village's struggle feels personal, with branching conversations that reflect real-world complexities of migration and resistance. Players can expect a taut narrative that avoids easy answers, letting consequences unfold naturally based on your decisions. Based on the developer's earlier work, fans of story-focused adventures with historical context are likely to appreciate its quiet intensity.
