About

Drowning Cross casts you as Jeremy, a man racing against time to locate his vanished partner Leo after a suspicious car crash. The game blends point-and-click exploration with dialogue choices that shape the investigation. Players sift through Leo’s personal history, uncovering cryptic clues and questionable relationships as the story spirals into something darker than a straightforward disappearance. The narrative unfolds in a nocturnal setting, where every interaction and environmental detail feels loaded with meaning. What grabs attention is the game’s tightly woven mystery and the emotional weight of its central relationship. With a runtime of roughly six hours, it maintains a steady pace without dragging, and its branching dialogue system offers meaningful consequences. Though indie in scale, its script and atmospheric design have earned it a 78% on Metacritic, with critics praising its bold narrative turns. Available on multiple platforms since 2019, it remains a niche pick for those craving a story-driven puzzle experience with a personal stake.
