Duck 'n' Cover puts you in the shoes of a corporate employee who happens to be a duck. You must navigate randomly generated levels filled with constant destruction while trying to collect furniture for your new home. The game takes inspiration from bomb survival sections in classic platformers and the replayability of roguelikes. Almost every object on screen can break or vanish, leaving Steven as the only safe spot amidst the chaos. Your goal is simple yet brutal. Survive the unceasing armageddon long enough to gather your loot before the next explosion hits. The community has already tagged this indie title as atmospheric despite the chaos. It feels like a tight loop of tension where you watch everything around you turn to dust. There are no hand-holding tutorials here. You just learn by getting blasted repeatedly and figuring out what breaks first. The single player mode keeps things focused on your personal survival run without needing a team. If you like games that let the environment fight back, this one fits right in. It is an odd mix of domestic goals and total war that sticks with you after playing.
As a duck with new house you have to get furniture in Duck 'n' Cover tournament.
